Winter

Ok winter has truly arrived today.  6degreesC and it just isn't getting warmer.  Nice day for study.

Something I've always wondered, why isn't phonetic spelled the way it sounds?  It truly is one of those oddities in life... just saying!

On a Friday evening...

Why do I need to learn to write code from scratch?  Why am I bothering?  1, to pass uni, 2, to make pretty web pages.  Gosh the things we do...

Invalid musings

I noticed it's been awhile so I'm back.  I'm a little worse for wear, having just had some surgery and being literally, laid up for a couple of weeks.  I'm looking out the window at the view of the creek and trees as I type.  It's a beautiful sunny winter's day here, I'll go out into that watery sunshine later and get some Vitamin D (I think it is).  That brings me to my question for today though - why do we always want to be active when we have to rest and vice versa?

American Dreams at the Bendigo Gallery

Liz and Amanda (along with some good friends) are of to the opening of  'American Dreams' on Saturday evening - an exhibition of the works of early 20th Century photographers - at the Bendigo Gallery.  Man Ray, Ansell Adams, Dorothea Lange to name a few artists.  The rather controversial Bill Henson is the guest speaker.  Should be interesting.
